MANILA, Philippines – Senator Imee Marcos said social insurance policy need to be strengthened to achieve 14 % poverty incidence goal of the Duterte administration.
Marcos also mentioned that the Pamilyang Pantawid Pilipino software or 4Ps need to be reviewed and that the Social security system (SSS) and Philippine medical health insurance Corp. (Philhealth) must have proper funding.
"There is no one-size-matches-all answer to poverty. it'll take center of attention and hard work, a macro-view of how government courses are interlinked, legislative guide, and catastrophe anticipation and coaching amid the unpredictable El Nino and storm season," Marcos referred to in an announcement on Friday.
Marcos delivered that "attention to agricultural creation, rural development and land reform will address the 60 % of the nation's bad within the agriculture sector and the forty % observed in Mindanao."
Philippine data Authority prior to now suggested that poverty incidence amongst Filipinos within the first half of 2018 became at 21 p.c, decrease than the 27.6 % recorded in the first half of 2015.
Poverty incidence is the percentage of the inhabitants residing below the poverty line to the whole population of Filipinos.
