Some people ask to us; does the Bible actually speak to the issue of the ordination of women?
Can Women Be Pastors? Does the Bible condone women in other offices of the church? Men and women of good will differ on the response?
I read interesting Quotes on the internet, let me read for you folks.
“Yet consider now, whether women are not quite past sense and reason, when they want to rule over men.” by John Calvin.
“A man’s main business is God; a woman’s main business is the man.” – by Jack Hyles.
But first here we will read verses about women which we have in the Holy Bible.
First, we must understand that God has designed the male-female relationship to complement one another; one gender is not better than the other, but we do have different roles. To reject these God-given differences can lead to an unbalanced view.
There are many famous female pastors such as Joyce Meyer, Juanita Bynum, Paula White, Victoria Osteen, Nadia Bolz-Weber, Bobbie Houston, and more.
Many verses God give us which teach us women should not preach in public like Timothy 2:12 “But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.”
The Greek words for “woman” and “man” in 1 Timothy 2 could refer to husbands and wives not men and women in general.; however, the basic meaning of the words is broader than that. Further, the same Greek words are used in verses 8–10. Are only husbands to lift up holy hands in prayer without anger and disputing (verse 8)? Are only wives to dress modestly, have good deeds, and worship God (verses 9–10)? Of course not. Verses 8–10 clearly refer to all men and women, not just husbands and wives. There is nothing in the context that would indicate a narrowing to husbands and wives in verses 11–14.
Deborah a biblical prophet and leader who inspired the Israelite army to defeat the Canaanites. The “Song of Deborah,” a song of victory attributed to her, is thought to be one of the oldest sections of the Bible. Judges 4:4 And Jael "the wife of Heber the Kenite" Judges 4:17.
Why God allow these ladies in the old testament be a leader. Or the God of the New Testament is different from the God of the Old Testament.
We need to understand here what God is teaching to us. I think where there is a great need for Paul to teach this, women must be overstepping their bounds and not caring about the honor of their husbands. God first created Adam, then created Eve.
Then made Eve submissive to Adam.
The women there may be inferior to the men but God taught us in the Bible or the man has to take care of all the arrangements while staying ahead but we also see that God made Deborah the leader. And because of this he made his people victorious.
1 Timothy was written to Timothy, the pastor of the church in Ephesus. Ephesus was known for its temple to Artemis, and women were the authorities in that branch of paganism—therefore, the theory goes, Paul was only reacting against the female-led customs of the Ephesian idolaters.
And the church needed to be different.
However, the book of 1 Timothy nowhere mentions Artemis, nor does Paul mention the standard practice of Artemis worshipers as a reason for the restrictions in 1 Timothy 2:11–12.
Many women excel in gifts of hospitality, mercy, teaching, evangelism, and helping, serving. Much of the ministry of the local church depends on women.
Women in the church are not restricted from public praying or prophesying (1 Corinthians 11:5), only from having spiritual teaching authority over men. The Bible nowhere restricts women from exercising the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12).
Women, just as much as men, are called to minister to others, to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23), and to proclaim the gospel to the lost (Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15).
Women are encouraged to teach other women (Titus 2:3–5).
Also keep in mind that it is Jesus Christ who said that in heaven we will not be like men and women. Christians live three kinds of life. One is living in the flesh on earth, the other is in heaven with God, and the third is living on earth practicing heavenly life through the Holy Spirit.
Remember we are not men and women.
We are God's disciples, His sons and daughters. There is no question of men and women, we are spiritual and have to think spiritually. Are we disciples? If we are not yet His disciples, then we must become His disciples. God's sons and daughters glorify God's name
Bring blessings to God's people.
Every church should have one Deborah to lead His people.
In my opinion, a woman should preach in the congregation. But you should not take any action without the consent and permission of your husband. If a woman's husband allows it, she should be a blessing to the people. God bless you with today's word and don't forget to share this message on your Facebook and WhatsApp.
God bless you.
