On Thursday, California's Legislature unanimously authorized a $35 million certain-revenue software, funded by taxpayer dollars, in which residents can obtain monthly tests of up to $1,000. The text of the invoice says the application would prioritize residents who age out of the foster system and pregnant people. It doesn't include restrictions for spending the monthly payments.
