NASHVILLE, TN (AP) - Tennessee health officials say they are hopeful the state will quickly not be the only state in the u.s. that does not have a software offering insurance for little ones with tremendous disabilities living at domestic.
Commissioner Brad Turner, who oversees the department of intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, says the state submitted a waiver in September asking the federal executive for approval to launch a $27 million application permitting disabled babies to get Medicaid information.
at the moment, Tennessee only covers "medically eligible" toddlers in households with salary 200% under the federal poverty stage, disqualifying many families as a result of they have got too excessive an earnings or assets below the state's Medicaid software.
Turner observed Tuesday he believes the application may beginning as early as January if the conception is approved.
