Pakistan cupboard rejects thought to liaise with Indian enterprise for broadcasting England sequence

Islamabad, Jun 8 (PTI) Pakistan cupboard on Tuesday rejected a idea to liaise with an Indian company for live telecast of the upcoming Pakistan-England cricket sequence due to the current political tensions.

Minister for advice Fawad Chaudhry told the media after the cupboard meeting that Pakistan television (PTV) requested the government to sign an contract with superstar and Sony to broadcast the matches.

"The cabinet has rejected the request of PTV to signal an contract with megastar and Sony to air the britain-Pakistan cricket collection," Fawad talked about.

He noted the Imran Khan government had already made it clear that family members with India trusted reversing the August 5, 2019 motion, relating to the revocation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.

"Our ties with India cannot be normalised until those moves are withdrawn," he observed.

Chaudhry pointed out that star and Sony have monopoly over all cricket contents for South Asia and because of the absence of settlement with any Indian company, "the sequence usually are not aired in Pakistan."

but he talked about that the executive turned into attempting to discover a middle floor by drawing near the england & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and other overseas companies to relaxed broadcasting rights.

He also observed that the PTV and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would endure economic losses as a result of the cupboard resolution.

The cricket sequence between Pakistan and England is scheduled to birth from July eight.
